We are thrilled to partner with The Africa Initiative at the Watson School to cordially invites you to the Opening Reception of the 6th Annual African Film and Arts Festival.


The Opening Night kicks off on 9/18/25 at 5:30 pm in The Agora, Stephen Robert ’62 Hall, 280 Brook Street, and will include live music and African cuisine. The evening will culminate with the screening of a Senegalese journalist and documentary filmmaker, Katy Léna N’diaye’s Money, Freedom, A Story of the CRA Franc . PLEASE JOIN US!

Katy Léna N’diaye, is a Senegalese-French documentary filmmaker, best known for her documentaries about women muralists in Africa. Born in Senegal, N’diaye grew up in Europe. She studied modern literature in Paris and undertook further study in broadcast journalism. She has worked as a journalist for TV5 Monde and RTBF, and lives in Brussels, Belgium.
