About the event
We are thrilled to announce that Temidayo Balogun + AKÉDE Band will join us for a wonderful concert in Providence at the Biltmore Park (near the now Graduate Hotel) on Thursday, July 30th, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Yacouba Diabate with open the show with live Kora music from Burkina Faso.
We are excited to celebrate Temidayo Bologun accomplishments which include the release of his new album, Afrolusion, with his Jazz sextet, AKÉDE. Nigeria-born, Boston-based saxophonist and percussionist formed his band in 2021 as a vehicle to blend his African-Yoruba cultural sounds with jazz.
