PVD World Music at Providence Innovation District Park

PVD World Music Series proudly returns to Providence Innovation District Park on May 4th and will run until October 2023. The series feature traditional and fusion global sounds and dance performed by performers from all over the world who call Providence and New England home. The concerts, as in previous years, feature indigenous music histories and customs that have been passed down orally from generation to generation for thousands of years with special focus on traditional African and African Diaspora music and dance performances.  The concerts provide an opportunity to learn more about the colorful arts of Africa and as diverse as the people of the world. The performances will introduce our local audience to the sounds, aesthetics, and cultural music and dance from around the world.

Beginning on May 4th, 2023, the concerts will take place on the first Thursday of each month, with live performances from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Along with the music, there will be food trucks like Jah Patty and Spanglish. Every Thursday, Field of Artistans will also hold a market. The Guild Beer Garden will provide cold beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
