Mthwakazi live at Tea in Sahara

We are excited to announce that Bosigwe Mthwakazi, a South African artist, will perform live at Tea in Sahara tomorrow, Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Mthwakazi is a multi-instrumentalist and activist from the Eastern Cape of South Africa. She has been performing traditional music for her region for two decades  and continues to ensure that her ancestral music continues to pass down to both the present and future generations.

Mthwakazi is an internationally recognized bow music expert who plays a variety of bow instruments, including uHadi, uMrhubhe, and uMakhweyane, many of which she handcrafts.  Her music promotes spirituality, humanity, humility, peace, optimism, unity, coexistence, and progress as a way of life.

Please join us in celebrating her outstanding accomplishments throughout the course of her 20-year music career, as well as her unrelenting commitment to both her profession and the people of her home country.

Tickets are free, but donations are encouraged.  All the donations  will go toward supporting her work and travel back home.
