About the event

Air Tanganyika Music Fest March 31, 2024

Join us on March 31st for the inaugural Air Tanganyika Fest, a world music celebration featuring performances by our friends Kotoko Brass from Boston and Qwankwa from Ethiopia.

We're thrilled to announce the launch of the Air Tanganyika Music Festival, a long-awaited initiative of PVD World Music. This annual event in Providence, RI, will showcase the rich musical traditions of our local global community.

The festival kicks off at the Parlour Providence, 1119 North Main, Providence, RI. Don't miss this unforgettable evening where we'll embark on a musical journey with Kotoko Brass, renowned for their high life rhythms, and immerse ourselves in the traditional and fusion sounds of Qwankwa from Ethiopia.

Join us in commemorating this milestone, with proceeds from the festival directed towards building Air Tanganyika - a music library in Burundi.
