Kick off the African Film + Art Festival on Wednesday, September 16 at the Providence Public Library! Doors open at 5 PM, live music begins at 6 PM, followed by a 7 PM screening and filmmaker Q&A with Angolan filmmaker Fradique.

6:00 PM — Music with Albino Mbie
7:00 PM — Screening of Air Conditioner
Following the screening — Q&A with filmmaker Fradique
The festival opening film is award-winning filmmaker Fradique’s Air Conditioner, which will screen at 7:00 PM followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker after the screening. The film will be preceded by a music performance by Mozambican artist Albino Mbie at 6:00 PM.
